Welcome to an art gallery in Laurenburg, a small village in one of the most attractive parts of the River Lahn valley.
During
the summer, the gallery is open from 11h until 18h on summer Sundays and Bank Holidays, with a new exhibition every month. Entry is
free, the atmosphere is always friendly, the wonderful garden leads directly down to the River Lahn towpath, and there is usually
plenty of English being spoken....
Take a look at "Was Gibt" for information about the planned exhibitions, or give Steve
a call (0177-20 648 30) or write a Mail (
info@Einfluss-Lahn.de )
There is always coffee or
tea available, and there is also a good local bar and restaurant terrace just a few hundred metres away, which also rents out kayaks at
a reasonable cost..
Best of all, Laurenburg is on the line between Limburg and Koblenz (RB trains, once every hour,), and
several national and local foot and cycle paths pass by the gallery. Problem? DB wants to repair the track in 2026, so best take a
look at the website or ask for information. It is difficult to over-emphasise the beauty of the area, but still, it retains a local
charm .. and is much valued by the locals.
Einfluss Lahn (a word play meaning "Influence of the Lahn" although "Fluss" also means
"river") is part of a non-profit-making group of Vereins (art and cultural societies) in the Limburg/Diez area. It includes
Lahn Artists and the Kreml-Kulturhaus and all are united in providing informal access
to the arts and events in our area.
Best
wishes from Steve, Moni, Renate and Paddy
